Marcelo Sousa is an exceptionally qualified and passionate educator with nearly two decades of teaching experience, having worked with students across Grades K-12 in a variety of settings. Most recently, he has co-taught students in Grades 6 through 12, further enriching his expertise in addressing the diverse needs of learners at different stages of their academic and linguistic journeys. With a Master’s degree in TESOL/Bilingual and Multicultural Education and advanced training in educational leadership, Marcelo combines deep theoretical knowledge with hands-on expertise in culturally responsive instruction, curriculum development, and language acquisition strategies.

What sets Marcelo apart is his ability to create a unique, engaging, and fun learning experience. Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, he brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by multilingual learners and uses innovative methods, including cutting-edge technology and AI tools, to enhance learning and assessment. His commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement ensures that his students not only learn English but also feel empowered and supported throughout their journey.

Marcelo’s extensive experience includes successfully designing and delivering professional development for educators, implementing research-based instructional practices aligned with state standards, and supporting English Learners’ academic and linguistic growth. He has also served as an ESOL coach and mentor, equipping educators with the tools to better serve multilingual students. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Marcelo’s vibrant personality, creative teaching methods, and dedication to fostering cultural exchange make his classes a truly unique and transformative experience.
